How Many Teeth Can I Replace With Dental Implants?

Individual Teeth

Where a single tooth has been lost, the titanium implant is used to replace the missing root and a crown is then made to restore the top of the tooth.

Multiple Missing Teeth

Where there is more than one tooth missing, a life like dental implant bridge restoration can be designed, so that the gap can be restored without damaging adjacent teeth.

All Your Teeth

If you have unfortunately had to experience losing all your teeth, this can be very distressing.  You may have tried conventional dentures but find that they are not giving you the confidence or comfort you desire.  Dental implants can be considered.

Are There Any Risks With Placing Dental Implants?

Implant therapy is not an experimental approach; rather it is a well-proven, state-of-the-art medical dental technique that has been scientifically tested and used for decades by dentists and surgeons worldwide.

Each patient and situation vary and depending on the condition, potential risk factors may vary. Bad oral hygiene, smoking or limited healing of the wound due to pre-existing medical conditions may reduce the odds of the implant remaining in place.  We will carry out a thorough evaluation of your oral health to establish if dental implants are a suitable option for you.

Is There An Age Limit?

As long as the jaw has stopped growing implants can be inserted.  We wait for young patients to be fully developed before considering this treatment option.  At the other end of the spectrum, there is no age limit, given of course that the patient does not display any significant medical risk factors.

Will It Be Painful?

Local anaesthetic is used to make the experience as pleasant and pain free as possible.  We provide after care and ensure you are supported throughout your treatment should you experience any problems during or after the procedure.  If you have any concerns will we always discuss them with you thoroughly before proceeding.

How Much Will It Cost?

We will carry out a full assessment to establish what is best suited for you and the costs involved, as each case is different.  Although the initial cost may seem daunting, they can be a very cost effective solution for the long term and a real investment in yourself.
