Why Do I Need A Filling?
Decay or tooth damage can result in loss of tooth tissue. Fillings are used to replace the missing tooth tissue to restore the tooth to function and help protect it. If you notice a broken tooth, lost filling or are experiencing any pain from your teeth, it is essential you see a dentist as soon as possible.
Can I Have A White Filling?
Fillings can now be done to blend with the natural colour of your own teeth, giving a brighter, more confident smile. Some of the new materials are so effective that they are stronger and blend with the teeth perfectly.
Are There Any Other Options?
In some cases there may be a substantial loss of tooth tissue. In such cases we may recommend having the restoration made by a laboratory to increase the strength in order to protect the tooth. Inlays and onlays can also be made of a white material or a metal alloy. We will discuss what the best options are for you.
I Don’t Like The Look Of My Old Fillings, Can I Have Them Changed?
You may have old metal or white fillings that have discoloured, chipped or are unsightly. We will discuss all your options with you fully in order to establish what will cosmetically look brilliant but most importantly what is the healthy choice for your teeth.
Will It Hurt?
No. We will numb the tooth ensuring that you are comfortable through out.
